Heavy-duty conspiracy research, with new-agey photo-illustrations throughout by Neil Hague. The former UK Green Party National spokesman and footballer Icke could be on to something with his Saturn-moon "matrix" idea (see author Christopher Knight and also Richard Hoagland's Enterprise Mission) and the evidence for the artificial rings of Saturn is fascinating. One wishes he'd devoted more time to the subject. The material on purported paedophilia within British royal and aristocratic circles, and the anti-Christian bent, is way out there and rather mean-spirited. Not very well-written but entertaining symbology for the conspiracy-minded. A sort-of British Alex Jones, Icke is on the trail of the global Orwellian state, but the book goes on and on a bit too broadly to be considered "well-written." Very thoroughly, if a bit wrecklessly, researched.

Having spent the previous 2 months reading this book from cover to cover (some 900 pages), I feel well qualified to comment. Firstly, what I can say is that a book of such mind-boggling honesty as this is unquestionably a gift to Humanity. Secondly, there can be no doubt that over the last 25 years, David Icke has displayed a monumental amount of courage in researching and disseminating this information. "The Perception Deception" is surely the pinnacle of his writing so far. For my part, it's required no small amount of courage and determination just to read it. It's easy to dismiss something after "browsing through the first couple of hundred pages" without doing your own research. Complacency is a very dangerous and delusional frame of mind to adopt; one that all Humanity, but especially New Zealanders need to shake themselves out of with great urgency. My final comment is that this book, at very least, can be considered an all-out demonstration of exactly what peace on earth most certainly is NOT about. Let's take it from there. Finally, although this work is by no means the only one of his that I've read thoroughly, I'd like it known that it has changed my life for the better and I feel inspired today to commence work on giving back something great to New Zealand as I look towards the completion of 50 years' residency in June 2015. Furthermore, I have now purchased my own copy of the book, which I am sure will ever be a tremendous research resource.
