Her job was to counsel thousands of people on personal finance--and she couldn't even pay her own bills. This was the ironic plight Nancy Trejos faced in 2008. Now, in this funny, practical, and inspiring account, Nancy takes you along on her quest for financial stability and demonstrates how you too can get your money situation under control in the present--and for the future. If you're sinking in an ocean of credit card debt, if you don't know exactly how a 401(k) or Roth IRA works, if "money talk" often seems like a foreign language, then this book can help. And, unlike any other financial book for twentysomethings, HOT (BROKE) MESSES isn't going to tell you that you can never eat out or buy a cute pair of shoes again. You can pay off those credit cards, start saving, and still have fun along the way. Nancy Trejos shows you how"

A little more "memior" and a little less actual advice, but still a useful book for inspiration.
