I enjoyed reading this one as throughout the novel you’re always second guessing yourself and just when you think you got it right, something else happens and you’re guessing again. Loved the twists and endless possibilities with this plot! I thought it enhanced quite a few things once Layla’s point of view is introduced because this is where it gets more complex and things start going a bit darker and uglier.

Ellen’s behavior was frustrating. You felt right up there with Finn sometimes because of her bouncing back and forth in opinions and it added more to Finn’s stress (although, it now makes sense as you head towards the ending) It’s definitely felt as it takes its’ toll on Finn. It’s hard to sympathize with him. He does have a temper and his personality and reasoning makes it hard to like him. He rather treats Ellen as a means to an end and his obsession with Layla reaches a disturbing factor.

The book is a quick read and engages the reader. I enjoyed the last bit in the end of the book, it’s well thought out and brings everything to a nice close. I liked how it kept me guessing and the thriller elements are well placed to keep the reading going.

Definitely recommended for a good thriller read!

A twisty, turny novel that captured my attention immediately.

Bring Me Back held my attention for the first half of the book and then I completely lost interest. The main characters were only partially interesting yet managed to be slightly annoying. Although none of the characters have a legitimate 9 to 5 job they all seem to have an unending supply of money. Finn is so caught up in his love life that it leaves no time for any hobbies or friends. I'm not quite sure why anyone would find him interesting enough to fall in love with. Same for Ellen and Layla. But having said that, I did enjoy the pacing of the book and while I guessed a variation of the twist it was a decent solution to the mystery.

Tragic ending to a twisted tale. 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Finn McQuaid's one fault, his temper, has led him to unwise actions more than once.

Falling in love with Layla was fast, Her disappearance a mystery. Falling in love with her sister, Ellen, twelve years later seems odd yet right.

When Layla reaches out to Finn after his wedding announcement to Ellen, Finn is led on a twisted psychological trail.

Strong characters with chapters going between then and now, as well as between Layla and Finn, kept the story moving quickly.

Thank you St. Martin's Press for the loan of an ARC through Net Galley.

This is one of those books that ‘s hard to put down. You want to keep reading to reveal the next hint at what’s going on. Going into it, knowing it wasn’t a straight-forward story, I figured out what was going on about mid-way through.

After deducing what I assumed happened, I had to ask myself, “but, how could that be possible”? I guess the last line sums up that question, but not necessarily in a totally convincing way. A little implausible, but then fiction has to be given some leeway.

I "read" the audio book and the narrator was so well suited to this story. Utterly compelling with some almighty twists

Keeps you in suspense right up to the end. But I did not expect the end at all. Loved it from start to finish. Can't wait for her next book.
