This is one of my personal favorite dog books of all time, Desmond Morris has dogs the ultimate dictionary of a thousand dog breeds covers every breed of dog that has ever existed from popular breeds like a Labrador Retriever, Beagle German Shepherd and Yorkshire Terrier to Rarities like the Chinook, Icelandic sheepdog,Nederlandse Kooikerhondje and the Plummer Terrier. This book even covers breeds in the making as well as exterior breeds and even extinct dog breeds like the White English terrier and the Tahltan Bear Dog. This book covers the history of all these breeds and there's good reference source two other books on specific breeds. I recommend this book for all dog lovers.
