Novel telling of Anna Griffin, who is commissioned to write a story of a great artist, Victoria Morrell. As she researches Victoria's life, Anna finds strange coincidences reflecting her own life. The stories Victoria tell enable both women to enter into new forms of sympathy and understanding. Themes explored include love, family mysteries and artistic vision and obsession. Author teaches in the Department of English, Communications and Cultural Studies at the University of Western Australia. Previous titles are 'The House of Breathing' and 'Fetish Lives'.
