Listen to the books that inspired the How to Train Your Dragon films! This book will be a hit with children and adults alike.

THE STORY BEGINS in the first volume of Hiccup's How to Train Your Dragon memoirs...

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III was an awesome sword-fighter, a dragon-whisperer and the greatest Viking Hero who ever lived. But it wasn't always like that.
In fact, in the beginning, Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III was the most put upon Viking you'd ever seen. Not loud enough to make himself heard at dinner with his father, Stoick the Vast; not hard enough to beat his chief rival, Snotlout, at Bashyball, the number one school sport and CERTAINLY not stupid enough to go into a cave full of dragons to find a pet... It's time for Hiccup to learn how to be a Hero.

How to Train Your Dragon is now a major DreamWorks franchise starring Gerard Butler, Cate Blanchett and Jonah Hill and the TV series, Riders of Berk, can be seen on CBeebies and Cartoon Network.

Loved the book and David Tennant, but this had to be the poorest produced audiobook I have ever listened to. I had to constantly keep my thumb on the volume adjustment.

Cute, clever, hilarious. I can totally understand why this is a best-selling series that inspired a best-selling movie franchise. Although the two are very different, I ended up liking book Hiccup and book Toothless almost as much as I liked the movie versions. The writing is so wry and matter of fact that's hard to believe that there aren't dragons living among us.

This is a wonderfully funny book, made only better by listening to Gerard Doyle's great narration. As much as I like David Tennant, I'm really disappointed that all these "How to Train Your Dragon" Books are being changed over from Gerard Doyle's brilliant reading. My daughter won't listen to them, unless they're read by Gerard Doyle.

Fun & anything DT reads hooks me.

Read by David Tennant, 10th Doctor and noted Scotsman. Which is appropriate because for some reason in the movies a lot of the Viking adults have Scottish accents.

Amazing read by David Tennant. My 5-year old loves it!
