this is a very well researched book of Heavy Metal history it includes most of the well know bands from the 1960's-till 2005 when this book was printed.examples Led Zeppelin Black Sabbath to Bonjovi to lesser know bands .my only complaint is that some bands listed like Nirvana Smashing Pumpkins Pearl Jam should be in another book A Rough Guide To Grunge or Alternative Rock these bands are not heavy metal.a rough guide to Alternative and Grunge would be a great book hope to see one someday.this book is reccomeded for any heavy metal music fan you will love it!
