If Star had read the review properly he would have seen that America in Iraq is what is referred to in the phrase "What a mess." Once again Mr. Yankee boy has soiled himself all over his democratic principles.

What a mess! says the Library Journal reviewer, and I fully agree. This author's take is a mess as he refuses to follow the money. Oil now flows smoothly to China to keep the multinationals' facilities running - - Iraqi oil is again sold for US dollars, and the Iraqi banking system is open to foreign ownership and the influx of credit derivatives - - Mission Accomplished! The Library Journal reviewer smartly mentions one of PNAC's founding member, Robert Kagan, who is the husband of that neocon appointee by Hillary Clinton to the State Department, Victoria Nuland (and President Obama has remarked that he admires Kagan's writing?!?!?!?) - - so what is to be learned from this book? You got me? (Say, whatever became of that missing $8.7 billion in Iraqi oil funds, which was supposed to go from the Iraqi Trade Bank to the New York Federal Reserve, overseen by the Coalition Provisional Authority's Reuben Jeffery III (now CEO of Rockefeller Financial after the suicide of their last CEO), and JPMorgan Chase's managing director, Daniel Zelikow (and best friend of Timothy Geithner), and chair of the NY Federal Reserve, Timothy Geithner? Or is that question also off the table?)

Highly recommended, but be forewarned that there isn't much of an upside to the US's first five years in Iraq. Basically the story how a few of our trusted national leadership can screw up the lives of millions in the name of ideology, politics, nationalism and theology. You won't have to wonder any longer why a good portion of the world views the US with a target on its back.
