I thought this was an encouraging book. It is easy to think that a lot of Christians have a perfect, cookie-cutter life or don't have a past. Stasi mentions the things she has been through in her life and it proves that Christians not only have a past, but are not called to judge you for your past. The book also mentions how women are portrayed in the media and how it makes women feel they need to be. They also talk about how to ignore it and how to be who you really are. Together, Stasi and John talk about how valuable women are and how important it is to be in love with God. I read and listened to this book and thought the audio version was best.

A must read for men and women. Could not put it down. I have read Eldredges other books and highly recommend them - especially Beautiful Outlaw.

This is the only book that has made me cry. Very powerful, and every woman can relate to something in this book. I encourage you to read it!

A story about what it means to be a valiant and remarkable woman--and creating a God-driven future. "God," says Eldredge, "has written the Romance not only on our hearts but all over the world around us. What we need is for Him to open our eyes, to open our ears that we might recognize His voice calling to us, see His hand wooing us in the beauty that quickens our hearts." (p 115, 2005). A worthwhile read for both women and men alike.

An insightful look into God's original design for women. The best Christian living book I've ever read.

A must read for women. Stasi reached me as a fellow woman in ways I didn't even know were there. I laughed and cried and felt love and hurt that had long been pushed away. I am a better person and woman for having read this book.
