I have read and reread the Cat Who series for YEARS! If I had read this book first, I would never have read the others. It did not read like Braun's other books. It seemed like someone else put together a dismal ending to her wonderful series. Did Braun develope dementia or did someone else pen this?
boring, confusing and no real solution to the mysteries raised in the story. no desire to read any more of her books
Lilian Jackson Braun brings back James Qwilleran and his famous felines, Koko and Yum Yum. Fun mystery read.
I think this is her last published book. Now we are left with only questions! Why did Polly decide to move to France? Who burned down the apple barn? Arrrgh!
I was so disappointed in this! Braun introduces several mysteries, none of which are adequately solved. There are way too many characters. It seems as though all the characters ever mentioned in a "Cat Who" book have to have a line or two. There are so many things going on without enough exposition of any of them. It's hard to care about any of it. it's as though someone found some notes Braun had made for a book (or two) and just put them together without any connections. Sad to say, give it a miss.
I think it was this one that i was annoyed with. Liked the storyline - but what she did to my fav characters was not good!
