For the most part - I'd say that "The Incredibles" was a pretty entertaining, action-packed cartoon from Pixar Studios. This superhero story contained lots of witty humor and fast-paced activity that kept me interested most of the time.

Generally speaking - I liked all of the characters except for Elasti-Girl who was such a nag all of the time.

This CG-animated fantasy/adventure story was produced on a $92 million budget.

Fun, stylish superhero comedy with lots of inspiration from several sources of the 1960s, all the way to the architecture. Savvy viewers will pick up on the mulititude of period superhero comics (most obviously Stan Lee/Jack Kirby's Fantastic Four title) and James Bond-isms throughout.

To be truthful - I just couldn't stand The Incredibles as the Parrs, a regular family unit. Like, talk about being totally dysfunctional to the max. You'd honestly think that a whole family of "supers" would, at least, have it together to some degree when it came to happiness and harmony.

In particular - It was Helen Parr who grated on my nerves, big-time. She seemed to be forever coming down on everyone for even the slightest, most petty thing imaginable. And this was even while she was Elasti-Girl. She just never seemed to let up on her bull.

All-in-all - I'd say that The Incredibles (sans Helen Parr) was a very sharp-witted comedy that quickly morphed into a really satisfying comic-book-style action film. This animated movie, for the young and old, was definitely well-worth a view.

It held the kids attention and they were enjoying it until it "paused" about 1/2 way through and wouldn't play or advance by it.

It's sad that a person checks out something and then damages it but doesn't let the library know.

The best version of The Fantastic Four out there, guest starring Ice Man. But since Disney now owns the Fantastic Four, which will be made next? More Incredibles movies, or bringing the Fantastic Four into the MCU? Probably both.

I honestly don't think it was that great of a movie. It has really bad graphics (which is understandable considering it came out in 2004) but the entire thing was kinda just a real drag for me. I watched Incredibles 2, and that was okay, except it's like 15 years later they continue exactly where they left of with pretty much the same actors, so the voices for the characters (especially Elastigirl) don't really match the part they're acting.

this is a battle between summerheros and the society...according to society the "supers"are just trouble makers... now the superheros are trying to save their reputation by saving the city from a robot

SAPPHIREBEAR15 Jun 26, 2012

"Supers"–humans gifted with superpowers–were once seen as heroes, but collateral damage from their various good deeds led the government to create a "Supers Relocation Program", forcing the Supers to fit in among the civilians and not use their superpowers. Bob and Helen Parr, who are Supers, have married and raised three children, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack, in the suburbs of Metroville; Violet and Dash have innate superpowers, but the toddler Jack-Jack has yet to show any. Bob, stuck in a white-collar job at an insurance agency, reminisces of his former days as Mr. Incredible, and sneaks out on Wednesday nights with his Super friend, Lucius Best (a.k.a. Frozone), to fight street crime.
