For Lucy Sweeney, motherhood isn't all astanga classes and Cath Kidston prints. It's much more little dippers swimming club and baby-sick decor, and there's not a herbal tea in sight. Lucy is living in a state of permanent emergency, and the white lies to cover up the trail of slummy mummy destruction are escalating.

I thought this was very funny, and in case you think it's total trash, the end reminded me of Iris Murdoch's the Black Prince.

I expected this book to be more humerous then it was. I didn't really care for the main character at first but she redeemed herself in my eyes at the end.
