Friends in High Places

Friends in High Places

Audiobook CD - 2001
Rate this:
When a young bureaucrat phones Commissero Guido Brunetti at work regarding the building plans for his apartment, he is clearly scared by some information he plans to give him. When he is found dead under some scaffolding, something is unmistakably going on that is greater than the fate of Guido's own apartment. Brunetti's subsequent investigations take him into the unfamiliar Venetian territory of drug abuse and loan-sharking. The deaths of two young drug addicts and the arrest- and subsequent release of a suspected drug dealer - are proving that having friends in high places in Venice can make a great difference.
