This final entry in the Canadian West series focuses on Christine's journey, following her disappointments and growth experiences in Beyond the Gathering Storm. Readers will enjoy the return of favorite characters from earlier in the series, and the way that the story deals with Christine's faith and emotional struggles in a variety of contexts--the romance is an enjoyable but surprisingly small part of the overall novel.
