The tag line "the female Braveheart" does this book a huge disservice. This is based on a true story about a woman from the Scottish Highlands in the changing landscape of the Jacobite rebellion. It is a great - if somewhat gory - read. As you would expect, it takes the Scottish side of the conflict with the English.
