"The Sith always betray one another. . . . I'm sure you'll learn that soon enough."

The overthrow of the Republic is complete. The Separatist forces have been smashed, the Jedi Council nearly decimated, and the rest of the Order all but destroyed. Now absolute power rests in the iron fist of Darth Sidious--the cunning Sith lord better known as the former Senator, now Emperor, Palpatine. But more remains to be done. Pockets of resistance in the galaxy must still be defeated and missing Jedi accounted for . . . and dealt with. These crucial tasks fall to the Emperor's ruthless enforcer, Darth Vader. In turn, the Dark Lord has groomed a lethal apprentice entrusted with a top-secret mission: to comb the galaxy and dispatch the last of his masters' enemies, thereby punctuating the dark side's victory with the Jedi's doom.

Since childhood, Vader's nameless agent has known only the cold, mercenary creed of the Sith. His past is a void; his present, the carrying out of his deadly orders. But his future beckons like a glistening black jewel with the ultimate promise: to stand beside the only father he has ever known, with the galaxy at their feet. It is a destiny he can realize only by rising to the greatest challenge of his discipleship: destroying Emperor Palpatine.

The apprentice's journeys will take him across the far reaches of the galaxy, from the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk to the junkyard planet of Raxus Prime. On these missions, the young Sith acolyte will forge an unlikely alliance with a ruined Jedi Master seeking redemption and wrestle with forbidden feelings for his beautiful comrade, Juno Eclipse. And he will be tested as never before--by shattering revelations that strike at the very heart of all he believes and stir within him long-forgotten hopes of reclaiming his name . . . and changing his destiny.

#1 Star Wars book in Omaha Public librarys. It is a must read! P.S. I also find it annoying that they went to the same places over and over again.

Three things marked my childhood more than anything else: Mormons, baseball and Star Wars. So almost 40 years later I'm reading my first Star Wars book, my second book on Mormon history and the world champion Royals are back in Surprise Valley. However I'm finding some things are better left in the past. While I have tons of nostalgia for Star Wars, I'll never be able to relive those glory years of playing with my figures 8 hours per day with my best friend Jamie. And while going to the K is a great experience it doesn't come close to the days when I literally thought I was an invincible super hero in my catchers gear and that no child or parent could harm me no matter what I did or what foul language came out of my young mouth through the fence. And I am ever grateful I no longer have to sit through fast Sunday or testimony day in a cult anymore. While it was interesting to learn a few things about the Sith and their fighting styles. I do not feel compelled to rush out and read another Star Wars book in the next 40 years. Oh well, both the force and my indestructibility in catchers gear seem more believable than Jesus in South America circa 79 AD though.

It was a good book, although I got the idea that Sean Williams rushed it a bit with this one. It was a bit cheesy at times. Not quite as good as the first, although with a happier ending ;).

This is an incredible book! I couldn't put it down. Gosh, I laughed, I cried, and I barely resisted the temptation to throw the book across the room. My advice: read it.

Star Wars – The Force Unleashed by Sean Williams: the apprentice’s struggle answered some questions about where he came from, who he was, etc. I enjoyed the book and recommend it to Star Wars enthusiasts. Doctor-at-Bass! T. A.
