And into the busy, bustling homes at 66 Star Street slips, unseen, a mysterious visitor. As the couples, flatmates and repentant singletons of No 66 fall in and out of love, clutch at and drop secrets, laugh, cry and simply try to live, no one suspects the visitor patiently waiting in the wings. For soon, really very soon, everything is going to change . .

From our 2015 #80DayRead Summer Reading Club traveler Leah: This author always delivers a twist in the end of her books. This one was a surprise for me. Set in Ireland.

I really enjoyed this book, it was very quirky but in the end, it was a great twist.

I began to read Marian Keyes as a "comfort" author, a read-alike for Maeve Binchy, and her other titles have filled this niche for me. This book, however, is in another class altogether. The quirky, well-developed Irish characters have their hilarious moments, but there are much deeper themes here. Passages to sob over, to laugh at aloud, and to ruminate over long after the book is finished.

This book started out as a guardian angel sent to earth to watch over a tenant in an apt building, but quickly became a narrative of the tenants on the first floor, the angels' viewpoint and character entirely forgotten. if you are looking for a light summer read, this is it.

Although I completed this book I can't say I really enjoyed it.A couple of comments I had read from previous readers said this was a funny story.I can't say I agree with them.

I was sooo happy to see this one come in! 612 pages, and I read it in 4 days. Keyes really does deal with some pretty serious topics in her novels - and she does that here too - but she hasn't lost her deft touch with humour. I had to stop myself from leaping to the end, because I just wanted to know what happens to the characters.
