This was an amazing read. I wanted to reread the second and third book to be a bit more prepared for Season 2 of Shadowhunters. However, I really love this series and I really wanted to reread as well. I love the characters and the action. This world was really interesting and cool. I forgot that Tessa appears in this book. I literally screamed when I saw her. Also, I am happy that Cassandra Clare kept the series going as the ending of CoHF was more conclusive and worth the read. I was happy to see more Malec, of course. The ending was amazing. I had to say I forgotten how long the epilogue was. Loved it never the less. Overall, a fantastic read.

I absolutely love all of Cassandra Clare's book and couldn't pick my favorite. In this book, I love how she described Alicante. It's magical.

I really like how the Clary is fighting so much for her mother and her friends. Cassandra Clare describes Alicante to be a beautiful city and I wish that I could visit it. Also I really enjoyed the plot twists in the characters relationships.

Up until this point, readers would think they know quite a bit of the Shadowhunter world. Sorry to disappoint those, but you really have not seen much until you witness Clary's perspective of Alicante, Idris. The author seems to never be able to run out of fresh ideas, and this book is her proof. I feltΒ that she really could not add any more plot twists in the relationships of our favourite characters. I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy continuing on with the fantasy, suspense, and adventure in The Mortal Instruments series. I myself must have reread this book at least six or more times. Shocking discoveries will be revealed, so readers beware! 5/5 - @Siri of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

this book was interesting from the first sentence. once reading, you are met with lively characters and unusual settings, with a twisting plot and a interesting ending. I highly recommend this book to fantasy and adventure lovers.

This book is extremely violent but quite romantic.

This is one of the best series I have ever read! I would recommend it to everyone who likes fantasy/romance/action books.

This book was AWESOME!! Im so glad that things worked out between Clary and Jace. I was really surprised about what happened between Alec and Magnus, I had to re-read it to make sure I read it right, I knew Magnus had a thing for Alec but I never thought that Alec would ever like Magnus back. ( no offence Magnus) An obvious five star rating!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I liked this book. But let's be honest the ending part was the best. Valentine killed Jace, Raziel killed Valentine, Clary brought Jace back from the dead and, the best. THEY AREN'T SIBLINGS!!!! Whoop!!! Whoop!!! Oh and Max died. hodge died. Both because of Sebastion. *MOMENT OF SILENCE* And they think Sebastion is dead but he isn't. Well the real one is, but the fake one is alive. I just know it.

This is what Jace and Sebastian say in Romanian:
Jace: "Why do you think I was listening to your conversation?"
Sebastian: "You've been watching me since I got here. I can't tell if you don't like me or if you're just this suspicious of everybody."

Aug 03, 2013

This is the third book of the Mortal Instruments series. In this installment Jace has to see Clary as his sister and nothing more.As well an old friend of Joceyln Madeleine is under a spell Clary must save her!

Nov 13, 2009

couldn't have asked for a better ending. I got everything I wanted. I don't want to summarize the book, I'll leave that to others, but I will say that there are some heartbreakingly beautiful scenes in this book. The characters became more developed and more endearing, especially Jace. His sarcastic wit is certainly present in this book; however, he is no longer hiding behind his carefully constructed facade. His torment over Clary is glaringly obvious from the first chapter.

I noticed that another review stated that she wished Clary and Jace hadn't have been as close as they were until they knew the truth about not being related, but I have to disagree. Clary was the only person in the world that made Jace feel like he belonged and she was the only person he belonged to and the fact that she didn't turn away from him when he told her that he loved her probably meant more to him than her waiting until she knew the truth to love him back the same way. He had resigned himself to love her always, no matter what, and I'm glad that he got to know that she had resigned herself to the same fate.

Cassandra Clare works magic with this novel. The excitement begins on the first page and doesn't stop until the final sentence. She brings everything full circle for a completely satisfying ending - even though fans would be more than happy to read about these beloved characters forever, I know I will miss them.
I look forward to seeing some of the characters from this series in her new series "The Clockwork Angel"
