Jack Fletcher is on the run. With no sensei to guide him, he has just his wits and his swords against many new and unknown enemies, as he journeys along the treacherous road to the port of Nagasaki and perhaps home. But the Shogun's samurai are hot on his trail. Barely escaping their clutches, Jack runs headlong into a trap.

Great book Great series

BPLNextBestKids Apr 11, 2012

In this, the fourth book of the Young Samurai series, Jack Fletcher is alone on the road trying to reach Nagasaki and a ship to take him home to England. Foreigners are no longer welcome in Japan and Jack is aware of the dangers he faces on the road – bandits, ninja and samurai who would gladly turn him in. When he runs into serious difficulty he finds help in a most unexpected place. The question is who should he trust. Another exciting adventure in this fast- paced series that is best read in sequence. Reviewed by BPL volunteer EE.
