This book is completely devoted to what you, the public, are asking for - super quick, tasty, nutritious food that you can eat everyday of the week.

Creating these recipes has been a whole new experience for me, and I've made sure they're methodical, clever, sociable, fun, with beautiful food that will slap you round the face with big flavour! I'll probably never write a book like this again, but I can assure you, this is a classic book that will arm you with the skills to create wonderful meals, shockingly fast.

I've taken inspiration from all over the world, embracing all the flavours that we all love, playing on classic chicken, steak and pasta dishes, looking at Asian-inspired street food and brilliant Moroccan flavours, bigging up mega salads and so much more. I'm basically trying to represent all the types of food that you, out there, are buying into. And these are some of the quickest and easiest meals I've ever done.

These recipes have been tested and tested to ensure that this book is a reliable companion for you, and hopefully your family too when you pass it down. I think you're going to really love it - I'm so proud of it.

It's far and away the most balanced and exciting everyday cookbook I've seen - and if you liked 30-Minute Meals , this will knock your socks off.

This is one of my favorite books of Jamie's. Recipes are quick to make, have tonnes of flavor, and are good for you. What more could you want? It is really easy to swap out ingredients if that is an issue. If you don't eat lamb, swap it out for pork or chicken. If there is a fish or type of seafood you don't normally eat, just swap it out for one that you like.

I looked forward to reading this book and trying out some recipes. But I found that there were a number of ingredients that I would never use again and a lot of the recipes were not to our taste. Also, I don't have a food processor and don't need one, but for some of the recipes you seem to need one.
However,Jamie has some interesting ideas and I would use some of the recipes just for inspiration.

I was disappointed by this book. I expect the meals are only 15 minutes with a bit of practice, but most of them are spicy and I don't enjoy spicy hot food. That, of course, is personal to everyone, but I had hoped for tips on adding flavour to non-spicy food. I also was a little appalled by his list of kitchen equipment - maybe food processors are cheap in the UK, but they're not here. However, to me the final straw was coming across a recipe that had truffle oil as an ingredient. Jamie, Jamie, Jamie. Truffle oil is not a standard part of the everyman's (or everywoman's) pantry!

Having said all that, my dislikes are a matter of personal preference and circumstance. The book itself is well put together - and you can always skip recipes with truffle oil!

You know, Jamie just might be a hero-revolutionary of cooking for our times. He is known for using unusual combinations of ingredients, yet none are off-putting or bizzare. Like, yam and shredded cheddar. Now that's a tasty, filling side dish that I'd never heard of before. It's now one of my go-to dishes. Excellent book.
