The first book was stronger and tighter, but this one was a fabulously satisfying story nonetheless. The characters really get inside your heart.

second of at least 3 books, I read the 3rd first and got hooked so started at the beginning which really helped fill in a few important details. Great story teller, interesting world there on The Edge between us in the broken and the magical world that we always knew was out there somewhere - just hoped it was full of the swamp creatures they encountered in this book! recommended but in the order written

This book was fun, funny and wonderfully creative - all the things I've come to expect from an Ilona Andrews book. I enjoyed this 2nd book set in the Edge series, probably even more than the first. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I felt the ending unnecessarily drew out the conflict between William and Cerise. Taken individually, all the elements of how they resolve their relationship are interesting and I enjoyed reading them ... but it felt a little forced at the very end.
