Dystopian. Pandora's an average teen, glued to her cell phone and laptop, until the day her long-lost father sends her a link to a mysterious site featuring photos of her as a child. Curious, Pandora enters the site, unwittingly unleashing a global computer virus that plunges the whole world into panic: suddenly, there's no Internet. No cell phones. No traffic lights, hospitals or law enforcement. Only Pandora's Box, a virtual-reality game created by Pandora's father, remains up and running. Together with her neighbors, gorgeous stepbrothers Eli and Theo, Pandora must follow the photographs from her childhood in an attempt to beat the game and track down her father-and rescue the world. Part The Matrix, part retelling of the Pandora myth, Doomed has something for gaming fans, dystopian fans, and romance fans alike.

I felt that it was this book was almost lost in itself. I don't really get the whole greek tie in either. Besides her name and the game, all the mentions of greek mythology doesn't really add to the story. Also, the whole 'love triangle' is getting kind of old and the fact that the two love interests are related (even if they are just stepbrothers) is kinda creepy. But the fact that they are new, barely know the main character, and flip flop in their actions toward her is a tad disconserting. Then add the fact that the two brothers immediately set out to help her after the world pretty much ends is just bad. It just... isn't likely in the least. Good when I read it the first time but now that I'm reading it for the second time, I'm noticing alot of inadequacies.

I really loved this right up until the last 3 chapters. I felt like she ran out of ideas or felt pressed to end it. It really should have continued into a second book. That would have been worth it.
Not a bad book but for people that like the endings to suit the rest of the book...don't read it.

Okay, read this book. Now. Do it. Ready, set GO! Yay! You have just gotten one of my favorites! It is by far one of the most interesting plots EVER. Just to let you know, Im 1,000% sure there isn't a second book. Yes, I know. SIIiiiigh. Life is just cruel sometimes.... But, that is not the point. I would LOVE to read this again, but I've got thirty books due in nine days, and ten on hold that are in. So... Yea. Now you can read it for me! ONE of us deserves to be happy!!
