Paige doesn't think she's particularly special, but after getting the starring role in a massive film adaptation of the bestselling Locked trilogy, the rest of the world would disagree. Now she's thrown into the spotlight, and into a world of gossip, rumour and deceit. The only people who know what she's going through are her two male co-stars, and they can't stand the sight of each other. Paige knows it's a mistake to fall in love on the set of a movie, but days of on-screen romance and intensity start to change her mind. The question is, can she keep what happens behind the scenes a secret when the world is watching her every move?

Once in a while I find myself looking for that one hopelessly cheesy romance novel, one that makes you both continue reading till early in the morning and roll your eyes at the same time. To be honest, I had very high hopes for Famous in Love after seeing clips from it's recent T.V show, but I found myself greatly disappointed. The story is about Paige, a regular girl from Portland Oregon who has dreamed of being an actress her whole life. After getting the role of a lifetime, Paige finds herself in the middle of a love triangle between Rainer Devan, Hollywood's golden boy and Jordan Wilder, the misunderstood bad boy with a dark past. I found the plot to be very predictable, with it's so called twists being known a couple of chapters before. As the main character, I found Paige to be more of a whiney teenager rather than a strong female protagonist, who wants everything without actually committing to something. Even as the main character, I felt like she had very little character development, showing very little sympathy towards her friends also. I definitely wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who can't stomach the idea of a cheesy love triangle but possibly the hopeless romantic. Rating: 2 Stars
