The beautiful bronzed body of Arlena Stuart lay face down on the beach. But strangely, there was no sun and Arlena was not sunbathing...she had been strangled. Ever since Arlena's arrival the air had been thick with sexual tension. Each of the guests had a motive to kill her, including Arlena's husband, but Hercule Poirot suspects that this apparent 'crime of passion' conceals something much more evil.

I adooooore Hercule Poirot!!!! He is definitely the book character that I love most. He is a super genius! I was surprised when I discovered the killers, although I felt very sorry for one of them at the beginning because... when you read the book you will know  I won't spoil anything for you guys, so you read the book and experience that beautiful suspense. I give this book 9/10 and I'm going to tell you something... reading Agatha Christie's books is a kind of magic. When you read one, you will want to read all of her books.

This is a very quick read; I never would have guessed who did it! The crime takes place while Hercule Poirot is supposed to be on vacation; and involves both the current murder and one from the past. I liked the interviews both local law enforcement and Poirot conduct with the suspects. It is rather devious the way Poirot sets up a test and tumbles to the truth; although I think he took a bit of a risk this time! Agatha Christie does it again!

Weak, preposterous ending. Slowly paced with a lot of dialogue.
