Pleasant French movie that could have been much more. Topic is very relevant here, which is illegal immigration in France. Omar Sy was great.

Captured my heart and mind from start to finish. This is a movie not to miss. Be sure to read the other KCLS patron reviews. They also loved the movie and have interesting insights about "Samba".

Real cool. French movie about what it is to be an illegal immigrant in France. And the people who try to help them. And romance. The acting is superb, Charlotte Gainsbourg in particular. Solid and real without being dark and difficult. Loved it.

A love story like only the French could do. This was a great movie, I will definitely have to check this out again - mind you, this is coming from one who doesn't usually go for love stories.. Omar Sy was the reason I checked this out, wonderful acting by all characters - this really gives you a feel for life in France as an immigrant, with focus on African immigration to France. The "Brazilian" was one of my favorite characters. This movie has love, lust, friendship, betrayal, redemption, remorse, action... Something for everyone with any attention span at all!

A very good, heart-warming movie! It portrays well the saga of the illegal immigrants! Realistic! Wonderful acting! The characters are very interesting and well-portrayed! A good drama with some humour! I recommend it!

A great exploration of immigrants from Africa (North and Sub-Sahara) trying to make a living in Paris while they evade the immigration authority. Charlotte Gainsbourg plays a charity worker trying to help immigrants and Ormar Sy and Tahar Rahim portray two of the immigrants. These three combine to make a wonderful film. Maybe if Europe had made more films like this and had done something about the immigration problems, we wouldn’t be seeing so much turmoil. Maybe not, but at least the makers of this film are trying.
