Helping a friend may turn out to be deadly serious... A terrific Myron Bolitar novel from the SUNDAY TIMES bestselling author of SIX YEARS.

Myron screwed up. His job was to protect someone. He fell in love with that someone and then she died. End of story.

So he's dropped out, left, run away to the Caribbean to escape his guilt. But now everything that he left behind has come back to haunt him. A friend is in trouble, murder trouble. The victim? One of his own clients.

In order to help his friend, Myron must battle for her freedom - against her own wishes...

#6 in Myron Bolitar series

I love the Myron Bolitar stories. They are the best. Myron and his best friend Win are so interesting. I have found every one of these books to be well written and well developed. As far as mystery writing goes, these are very well done.

This is the worst Myron Bolitar novel I've read. What an awful story. Where are the wise-cracks without torture? This story reaks. 1 of 10 stars.
