This is a rather concise book that covers many areas of design: graphics, objects, environments, systems, and more. Its well organized, and the writing is lucid and terse; many ideas are introduced, developed, and examples given to illustrate the salient points, often with exceptions and qualifications. There are no graphs or diagrams, but there are pictures that exemplify what is being discussed. The further reading guide is a bit short, and British-slanted.
