Morrison is someone who seems to be revered in the comics community--I don't know why. He's pretentious, can't write, and self -promotes so incessantly that a lot of people buy into his hype. It's not that I don't like a challenge--I read Pynchon, Vollmann, Wallace--it's that I do like some structure, however loose. Morrison just isn't a good enough writer to carry off his incoherent ramblings. The art's well done but in a losing cause.

Alternative universe and good read even though based on a lying propaganda. Don't read between the lines as that is where the lie is.

Offbeat, a little confusing, phantasmagoric, and more, but in the end it is a good solid comic book albeit with some strange twists. But said twists make the book more interesting and more fun. And it does notch the conventions of comic booking (they are all there) up to a higher level. Morrison is not the only one to be able to do that but he is one of the few.
