This series will re-address that balance and introduce Animal Planet viewers to some of the British creatures under threat, showing the habitats in which they live, why they have sometimes faced extinction, why they need special protection, what we can do to make sure they survive and thrive, and speculate what the future holds. These are fascinating creatures, no less fascinating than those found in African Safari Parks or blue cloudless Asian skies. Using spectacular archive footage, we'll examine the stories of Otters, Dolphins and Porpoise, War Voles, Peregrines and Red Kites, Red Squirrels, as well as Scottish Wildcats and Pine Martens. The British public is finally becoming more aware of the creatures that also call these islands home. This series will both raise awareness and inspire, as we tell of species on the brink, but also stories of how they are fighting back, some really quite dramatically, and show how, when we put our minds to it, we can make a difference and prevent the continuing destruction.
