Only two can keep a secret if one of them is dead. David and Adele seem like the ideal pair. He's a successful psychiatrist, she is his picture-perfect wife who adores him. But why is he so controlling? And why is she keeping things hidden? As Louise, David's new secretary, is drawn into their orbit, she uncovers more puzzling questions than answers. The only thing that is crystal clear is that something in this marriage is very, very wrong. But Louise can't guess how wrong--and how far a person might go to protect their marriage's secrets.

Great psychological thriller with dark brooding characters. As John Connolly said: "Read it now before someone spoils the ending for you!"

This has to be one of my favorite books I've ever read. Definitely wasn't expecting the ending, or the double twist.

Wow. Didn't see that ending coming. Great book. Will definitely be looking for more by this author.

A terrific psychological thriller with a completely unexpected sci fi twist!

This is hands down the best book I've ever read. The twist made me go back and read it twice.. and there's a twist on top of the twist! Definitely worth the read.

I found the book a real page turner but the end was a real letdown. I was expecting a real twist but not the way the author portrayed. I ended up feeling let down and sorry that I wasted my time on something whereby the ending was just too far out.

This twisty mystery full of crazies can get a bit much. Everyone is surprisingly daft but at the end of the day it was an entertaining ride and I did like it.

if you like your main character to be an alcoholic and into self-pitying (Bridget Jones, but not in a humorous story), you'll enjoy this book. The ending didn't make up for the previous 300 pages. 1/5.

Really enjoyed this book. Kept me hooked until the end, ending was totally unexpected. Great for the lovers of physiological Thrillers.

A fun, engaging, interesting read that kept my curiosity. I thought it was a great book and that the character development was believable (that's usually what I struggle to enjoy in some books). Worth the read!

Certainly a good, engaging read. You really feel for the different characters at different points and you're never quite sure who to trust. I only wish that the last five pages had been left off. The ending would have been excellent without it. That last chapter is a silly afterthought that does nothing for the plot. Bringing that one character back took it all just one step too far and the gender-stealing aspect really leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
