Nina Larkin should be happy. She's transformed her rundown outback property, she's won a distinguished art prize, and she's living with her soulmate, Heath Blackett. But the discovery of a portrait of her father, artist Jim Larkin, makes her question everything. How could it have been drawn just weeks ago when Jim has been dead for 20 years.

A sequel to The Painted Sky, this book was written by four women who are members of a Sydney book club. Set in country New South Wales, the mystery is engaging. It is best to read The Painted Sky first (but not essential) as the story and characters frequently refer to past events.
